Should I go to the next reunion?
Wow, time sure flew by fast, didn't it? It's hard to believe that we are really this old already! Remember that your fellow classmates are older as well. We can tell you that the experience of seeing your classmates after a decade will not be anything like you thought it would be. You will realize that everyone has finally grown up (well, most of us!) and they are not the same person that you remember from high school.
You don't have to go by yourself! Call one of your old friends and see if you might want to go together. This approach will make it that much less stressful. Just be yourself. Your fellow classmates are not interested in what kind of car you drive or how much you paid in taxes last year. They are only interested in how you are doing now. While you may be afraid that you will be confronted by that one person that you dread running into, you will actually find that most everyone will be quite happy to see you.You may not realize it now, but the only regret you will have is if you do not go. You will leave thankful that you made the effort. It puts the high school experience in a new light that has allowed for a completely new perspective that only comes with time. So go and have fun!
I didn't officially graduate from Leander High School with the class of 2000 (such as I moved my senior year), but can I still attend the reunion?
Sure! Everyone will still want to see you and find out what you are up to. We do ask that you would have a friend who did officially graduate from LHS purchase your tickets so we are aware of who is attending.
Can I bring a friend(s), date or spouse?
Yes! Please feel free to invite your friend(s), date, spouse, etc. - they are more than welcome, we just ask that you purchase their tickets under your name. The more the merrier, this is your opportunity to show your friend(s), date or spouse where you came from!
I'm not comfortable paying online for my tickets. Is there any other way I can buy tickets?
Yes. Please email us at lhsreunionclass2000@gmail.com to make alternate arrangements to pay for your tickets.
Can I purchase my tickets at the door?
Advance tickets offers you the best pricing and helps us with planning purposes in order to get a fairly accurate number of those attending, as well as to have enough food, drinks, etc. But yes, there will be a limited number of tickets available to purchase at the door.
Are the events family friendly for kids?
The Saturday evening event is reserved for adults only.
What does my ticket money go towards? Is the planning committee making any money off of this event?
Money from tickets goes directly towards the large event costs such as venue rental, food, drink, decorations, music, door prizes, and many other things too extensive to list that are often forgotten about. All efforts from the planning committee are completely voluntary. Ticket prices are based completely on costs and do not profit any reunion planning companies. Remember that this is a one time event that can't ever be completely replicated, so your money is well worth it.
Traveling from out of town, plus travel expenses - I am not sure that I will be able to afford it - are there any discounts available?
The planning committee has tried to do everything possible to keep costs as low as possible in deciding ticket pricing, venues, etc. In addition, various discounts have also been arranged with a number of businesses listed on this site under Lodging/Travel.
